Establishment of Russian licensor for refining and chemical processes- revival of a unified chain of implementation, including academia, design organizations, construction, commissioning companies and end users-manufacturers.
On October 14, 2015, in the Central House of Scientists located in Moscow's historic center, a solemn ceremony of signing of the license agreement between the leading Russian research institutes took place: FGUBN A.V.Topchiev Institute of Petrochemical Synthesis of Russian Academy of Sciences (TIPS RAS), FGUBN Institute of Problems of Chemical Physics of RAS (IPCP RAS), JSC Electrogorsk Oil Refining Institute on the one part and OOO Orgneftekhim Engineering (ONH-Engineering) on the other part.
Under this agreement, OOO Orgneftekhim Engineering received exclusive rights to the 20-year licensing period for breakthrough domestic TIPS RAS Hydroconversion process in the Russian Federation, which makes possible deeper conversion of heavy petroleum residues to produce high-value petroleum products.
The solemn ceremony was attended by academician S.N.Hadzhiev and Vice-President of the Russian Academy of Sciences S.M.Aldoshin, that managed the development of hydroconversion process with further extraction of metals from heavy residue and continue to lead the study on its further improvement.
Currently, the first large pilot Hydroconversion unit of TIPS RAS is under construction at the Refinery of PJSC TANEFT - JSC TANECO in Nizhnekamsk, Republic of Tatarstan. This project is made possible primarily thanks to the efforts of PJSC Tatneft management who has made a choice in favor of domestic technology, providing a wide range of competitive advantages in comparison with the best foreign analogues.
The signing of the license agreement has crowned the works on the establishment of a domestic process licensor, center of scientific knowledge accumulation for the purpose of its practical implementation and introduction into the industry, namely OOO Orgneftekhim-Engineering. This company is a member of Orgneftekhim-Holding (ONH-Holding) group, large-scale domestic engineering, construction and service group implementing projects in the fields of oil refining, chemistry and mineral fertilizers production in the Russian Federation, being also a leader in the promotion and implementation of domestic high-end technologies and products.
